H&M recently hired UXUS to create innovative installations to launch the Home COllection debut at their headquarters in Stockholm. The goal was to create fashion forward galleries that displayed the home products in a a contemporary way that upheld the values of their clothing design.
I am a huge fan of H&M, and I was excited to see the displays that were generated to celebrate the launch of this new product line. I believe that the home designs are a fashion forward reflection of the H&M apparel lines. Additionally, the installation displays were a great way to gain publicity for the new product line.
It is interesting to see the emerging trends that are generated in home design. It seems that a lot of apparel companies are expanding their merchandise mix to include home decor. The fashion forward collection of furniture, textiles and home goods are a great addition to H&M. I am excited to shop these designs when they hit retail locations!!
